Andy Clausen, Solo Performance, 2023

Recorded at The Tank in July of 2023 and released in March of 2024 as a track on Few Ill Words: Solo Trombone at The TANK, Vol. 1, here is Clausen playing Bill Frisell’s Justice and Honor.

Susie Ibarra Residency, 2022

Percussionist and sound artist Susie Ibarra was in residency at The TANK in 2022. In addition to exploring the sonic dimensions of The TANK itself, she did field work, playing and recording in some extraordinary locations in the area. In this video she experiments with her entire jazz kit in Sand Canyon in Dinosaur National Monument.

Todd Barton Solstice Performance, 2021

"Todd Barton at The Tank". Strange Prisoners' trippy edit of Todd Barton’s 2021 Solstice Festival performance in The Tank. Todd is a sonic adventurer, composer, educator and performer of abstract, freely improvised electronic music specializing in Buchla, Serge and Hordijk instruments.

Roomful of Teeth - Just Constellations, 2020

Roomful of Teeth spent several nights at The Tank recording Michael Harrison’s Just Constellations and earlier this year released an album of that material, which was listed among NPR’s Best 100 songs of 2020 and Bandcamp’s Best Contemporary Classical Albums of 2020. Here’s the video.

Crystal Glass Tones and Theremin, 2014

Ida Toninato, We Become Giants, 2018

Montréal-based saxophonist, composer and improviser Ida Toninato has an ear for the unknown and a history of exploring reverberant spaces. She came to The TANK in September, 2018, to make this album, We Become Giants, which was beautifully post-produced at Studio Makina in Montréal by sound artist Blaise Borboën-Léonard.
